Alicia

(7/12/2014; updated 3/27/2015) Alicia is an extraordinarily silky soft, extremely clean, young, elegant, fast-moving, beautiful female tabby rescued from College Avenue Campus. Approximately 2.5 years old, she has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, and is negative for FIV/Feleuk.

Alicia does not sit still for long, unless she is standing or sitting on your lap, pushing her face into your hand while purring. She has a lot of energy to burn and must do so! Her favorite daily activity (which she must have) is when she plays with you. Make sure you have a feather wand handy for playtime, move it in circles or above her head, and watch her leap! Alicia gallops quickly and quietly as she makes her rounds and looks out the window. She loves dry food, loves to have her head, chin and back scratched, and purrs if you oblige!

Alicia would be ideal as a single cat, or with another cat who would respect her space. When another cat gets too close, she gets nervous and swats/advances. If the other cat is the type to stay a few feet away, she lets them be and feels more secure. She would do well with responsible older children who would oblige her need for human contact, but who would also be able to read her signals and help get her energy out with appropriate play.
